“On Learning to Dissect Fetal pigs”.
Ghiaccio.
Ice, come ghiaccio.
Cosรฌ stiamo morendo, lentamente, tutti noi. Dentro.

Killing poets is a double act of devilry.
Renee Nicole Good used to write; writing was her life, just as much as being a mother.
I read the verses of a work she published some years ago:
“On Learning to Dissect Fetal Pigs.” She was going to graduate in Creative Writing at Old Dominion University in Virginia.
Now, whatever this woman did in life, it doesn’t matter. The abomination, that collapsed upon her, speaks for itselfโ€”it is the same for everyone.
Just watch the video; the images are clear, cruel.
Weapons in the hands of rednecksโ€”people sick in soul and mind.
The creed plastered on their faces is simply to pull a trigger: epigones of toxic video games that, in the Land of Barbarians, must find an outlet somehow.
But there is an added layer of pain.
The horror in human form who fired three shots, murdering Renee, belonged to ICEโ€”or (for those who love acronyms) the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the federal agency that monitors border security and immigration flows. Wellโ€ฆ the word ICE, in everyday English, means exactly that: ice.
Ice. The frost of evil embodied in the thoughts of an anonymous man. That ice did not know Renee was a poet; and even if it had known, it would not have recognized the grace of beauty and imagination.
So, it murdered the world twice. First, when it eliminated the mother of three children. Second, when it forever intertwined the color of blood with that of ink, depriving our time of an artist.
ICE, like ice. Ice, Iceberg: the mass of ice that projects above the waterโ€™s surface only the tip of something far darker, hidden, and profound.
Do you know why this happens? Physics tells us so.
The density of water in its solid state is less than that of water in its liquid state. Thus, the immense mountain of frost floats – a ghost in a landscape orphaned of color.
The density of reason is less than that of evil.
The density of the heart is less than that of death.
The density of progress is less than that of violence.
We live, in this time of ours devoured by human parasites, under the bell jar of a continent without form and without soul.
This is how a woman dies. This is how a poet dies.
This is how we are all dying, slowly. From within.
Ice replaces flesh.
ICE: death knocks at the door of reality.
